Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.
Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few."
- Matthew 9:35-37

About Emerald City Bible Fellowship
|
Emerald City Bible Fellowship is a multi-cultural congregation located in Rainier Valley, Seattle’s most ethnically diverse community. We began as a bible study in 1987, started meeting on Sunday mornings in 1990 but officially incorporated in 1993. ECBF is developed around the belief that every member is a minister. Our deepest desire is that those associated with our congregation will:

Know the word – Discover and apply biblical principles to their lives on a daily basis.

Know each other – Practice encouraging and supporting each other in all areas of life.

Know the world – Proactively reach others who need to hear about the salvation, which God gives freely through faith in Jesus Christ.

The Emerald City Bible Fellowship church family is deeply committed to that which is important to Jesus Christ. Jesus’ words about loving God, loving people (Matthew 22:37-39) and making disciples (Matthew 28:19-20) form the foundation of the VISION we possess. Our aim is to be a praying and worshipping community of believers whose faith in Jesus Christ is evident to all we encounter. And that our faith in Jesus and obedience to the scriptures will lead others to experience authentic life change as well.
Emerald City Bible Fellowship makes every attempt at maintaining a balance between preaching (telling) and practicing (doing) the gospel. Our hope is that as we pro-actively share the “good news” of the gospel and engage in the “good works” of the gospel that individuals, families and our community will find wholeness for their lives through Jesus Christ.
Emerald City Bible Fellowship would be marked by several notable characteristics and emphases including faith, racial diversity, spiritual worship, giving, intercession, community outreach, international missions and healthy balance between family and ministry.
Emerald City Bible Fellowship has a very close relationship with
Urban Impact, and is affiliated with both the
North Pacific Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church
