Attending a Service
at
Emerald City Bible Fellowship (ECBF)

We hope that you will have an opportunity to worship with us in the near future. We're aware of the fact that it can be a bit daunting to visit a church for the first time, so we've created this page to give you some helpful information about what to expect. If you have additional questions, feel free to give us a call at (206.722.0455).

Before Service
ECBF has weekly worship services Sundays at 10:15 a.m. Our services start on time and last approximately 2 hours. Children's Ministries for infants through 5th grade and middle school students is offered during our Sunday morning service; we also have a room especially for nursing mothers, and both the men's and women's restrooms feature diaper changing tables.

By the way, our attendees dress in a variety of styles. So whether you are dressed casually or in your "Sunday best", you will not feel out of place. When you arrive for service, you may park in any available space in our parking lots, on the street, or in any neighboring lot designated by ECBF parking signs. Please be mindful of spaces reserved for those with special needs.

During Service
Emerald City is a welcoming church. As you enter the building, greeters will be on hand to assist you in the main lobby.

Our sanctuary is located on the second floor. An elevator is available for those who cannot handle a lot of stairs. Please be mindful of seats or areas reserved for those who are physically challenged or families with small children.

After an opening prayer, our worship team leads the congregation in singing and the lyrics of each song are projected on video screens. Visitors are free to sing along with us or simply observe. First time guests receive a welcome packet passed out during our time of greeting. In addition, everything that happens during our worship services is clearly explained for the benefit of our guests. It is also worth noting that we typically serve Communion (The Lord's Supper) on the first weekend of every month. When we do so, a pastor clearly explains the significance of this practice.

Typically, our senior pastor, Harvey Drake, presents the sermon. However, there are times when one of the other pastors or a guest minister will present the message. Pastor Harvey is known for his practical, down to earth, Bible-centered teaching that helps us apply God's timeless truth to our everyday lives. And you'll love his keen sense of humor!

There are no offerings taken during our services. Instead, Attendees are free to give as they enter or exit each service by placing their contributions in one of the tithes/offerings boxes located throughout our sanctuary. As a result, visitors feel no pressure or obligation to give an offering.

After Service
Following the service, Pastor Harvey is usually available to greet visitors at the front of the sanctuary. In addition, those who don't have to leave immediately are free to enjoy refreshments in our lobby. We sincerely hope you enjoy your visit to Emerald City Bible Fellowship!
