Pastor Michael Hunter and his wife, Pastor Sanetta, became the Senior Pastor and First Lady of Emerald City Bible Fellowship in June 2023.

He and his wife of 35 years have two sons, one “daughter-in-love” and two grandchildren.

Pastor Hunter is committed to cultivating multi-ethnic ministry and believes it is imperative for the body of Christ to collaborate and work together as one.

As a Pastor and a man of God, he is firmly committed to the Word of God in both practice and preaching, and also believes that each member of the body of Christ has a God-given gift, purpose and calling, and that the family is the fabric of our society.

Prior to coming to ECBF, the Hunters pastored Spirit and Truth Worship Center in Kent, WA for 14 years. They have ministered in various capacities for over 30 years.

Sandra has been attending ECBF with her husband, Jamael, since 2008. They raised their granddaughter, Michal, in the Youth Ministry at the church, and she is now completing her undergraduate degree at Sandra's alma mater, the University of Washington. She is a retired school administrator, and serves on the Hospitality Team, Care Team, Reconciliation & Biblical Justice ministries. Her hobbies are reading, hiking, teaching senior exercise classes, working out with a personal trainer and traveling.

Jamael is a musician and now a business owner from New Orleans who has a heart for God and motivating young people to reach their potential.  He and his wife, Sandra, and have had the blessing to pour into quite a few young people while living in Richmond, VA and now Seattle.  Working at Emerald City Bible Fellowship has been a huge factor in his walk with God.

  • myra theriot | accountant

    accountant@emeraldcitybible.org

Myra moved to Seattle with her husband of 40 years and started attending ECBF soon after. They moved here to join their two daughters and son-in-law. She is originally from south Louisiana, then was a resident in the Midwest for 24+ years where she was involved in local church ministry and a Bible College. No longer in hurricane or tornado country, she is enjoying the beautiful PNW, though does not look forward to being surprised by the rumblings of an earthquake!

She is Gigi to her “adopted grandchildren” from another family. They bring much love and laughter to her life. In her free time she loves sewing, quilting, reading, quiet, as well as time with my family and friends.

I have been a member of ECBF for 9 years, with my wife, Roxanne. Our three children were all born in that time. I lead our Men’s Fellowship ministry and have also served with Kingdom Kids. My hobbies tend toward the geeky, including things like fiction reading, group table games like card games or board games, and playing video games (especially in The Legend of Zelda series). I also thoroughly enjoy listening to sports radio about the Seahawks and Mariners, and if time and weather permit, my favorite way to relax is time in a hammock.

I have been a member of ECBF since its conception and was on staff with Emerald City Outreach Ministries (now Urban Impact) when we launch the original Bible Study, shifted to Sunday evenings, eventually Sunday mornings and when we formally joined the Evangelical Covenant Church.  I met and begin partnering with our founding Pastor Harvey Drake Jr. in 1985 and other than two six month stents as an Interim Pastor of a different church, I have been committed to supporting and helping lead Emerald City Bible Fellowship, I am an ordained ministry, and 2nd generation ministry leader.  I am married to Jossandra Bury since 1990, a Flight Attendant with Alaska Airlines, and I have been a resident of Rainer Valley since 1987. I love encouraging life long discipleship, healthy romantic marriages, community outreach and youth leadership.  My hobbies are DIY Home Improvement, percussion, enjoying my neighborhood, and traveling with my wife.
